Thistle travelled to Ayrshire to take on Superleague Premier Division side Glenafton on a run of three 3-2 wins, the score was to turn out to be the same again for a fourth game in a row.
Thistle travelled to Ayrshire more in hope than expectation to play a Talbot team that is right at the top of junior football in Scotland. In the end there were positives to take from the performance and a goal to remember from captain Mark Canning.
Larkhall Thistle produced a performance of real heart and determination against their higher league rivals today and lost out by the narrowest of margins. The Jags were cheered off the park for their efforts by a crowd who appreciated that every one of them had given everything.

Thistle were comfortable winners in this West of Scotland Cup tie against an Ardeer side that in all honesty didn’t offer too much resistance. Goals for all the strikers and a promising debut from Matthew Clarke made this a good day’s work for the Jags.
