Please note that the bus for the Scottish Cup game with Fochabers at Elgin on Saturday is now full. The bus leaves at 7am from the Thistle ground, picking up at Strathclyde Park then on to Luncarty for breakfast before heading to Elgin. The bus will leave Elgin at 6pm.
As we go into the final game before the break for the first round of the Scottish Cup, Larkhall Thistle are now the only unbeaten team in the Central League First Division.
Indeed, within the whole of the Central and Super Leagues, the Jags are one of only half a dozen teams to retain their unbeaten status.
The full list of unbeaten teams is:
Super League Premier Division – Ayrshire giants Auchinleck Talbot
Super League First Division – Ayrshire trio Kello Rovers, Hurlford United and Ardrossan Winton Rovers
Central League First Division – Larkhall Thistle
Central League Second Division – Johnstone Burgh, Forth Wanderers
Let’s hope the Jags can keep the run going for a while longer!
Thistle have been given official confirmation that the away tie with Fochabers will be played at Elgin. The game will take place at New Elgin’s ground, the Nicol-Togneri Park in the Pinefields area of Elgin, Morayshire.
The game will be played on Saturday 22nd September with a 2:30pm kick off time.
As Fochabers don’t currently have a park suitable for the game, Thistle have been told to book our bus for a journey to the Elgin area. Based on this information we intend leaving Larkhall at 7am. Stopping for breakfast after Perth with the intention of arriving at our final destination – wherever that may be – by 12-12.30pm to let everyone, players especially, get a good stretch before the kick off.
Anyone wishing to travel should contact Stevie Johnston ASAP as seats are limited.
The next game is a League Division 1 fixture away toThe Ants on Saturday 1st September. Kick off is 2:00pm.
Any supporters wanting to travel to the game on the bus should see Chris Lenson, or email iamcintosh @ bluebottle dot com and I will get details for you. By road, St Anthonys park is easy to get to, from the Ibrox junction of the M8 head west along the A8 and the park is on the left just after the roundabout.
