Thistle romped to a big win today against struggling Perthshire. After a first half performance that saw the Jags in front but not entirely set the heather on fire, they blew the Shire away with a tremendous second half showing.
]]>2014 started well for Thistle as they came from behind to record an important away win. The result lifts the Jags to third in the league and is a good boost before next week’s Scottish Cup tie at home to Hurlford.
]]>Thistle were once again without several key players, this week’s new casualties were keeper Davie McEwan who hurt himself at work and Mark Canning who was sick as they took on league leaders Bellshill in atrocious conditions. The wind and rain made it impossible to play any real football and in the end the visitors coped better with the circumstances.
