After an early scare when it looked like Thistle might have been overrun by a well fancied Bellshill team, the Jags came back strongly and finished the game by far the stronger team in the proverbial game of two halves.

Thistle hosted struggling Cambuslang Rangers today, probably expecting to pick up all three points. But games between the teams in recent years have always gone with the team who finished lower in the league so this was a potential banana skin – and so it proved to be.

Today the Jags take on Cambuslang Rangers at Gasworks Park. Despite the Lang being nearer the wrong end of the table, we are expecting a tough game as usual against the team from down the M74.

Today’s league game with St Anthony’s has been called off, like most games in the region, due to flooding.

Tonight there is a Race Night in the Larkhall Thistle Social Club, tickets are only £3.00 and all proceeds go to club funds.

Larkhall Thistle produced a performance of real heart and determination against their higher league rivals today and lost out by the narrowest of margins. The Jags were cheered off the park for their efforts by a crowd who appreciated that every one of them had given everything.
