Thistle continued their pre-season preparations with a stiff test against Superleague Premier Division Petershill tonight. The Jags were looking to improve on the shaky start they made on Saturdaywhen they lost three home goals to Abbey Vale.
Thistle got back into pre-season action less than a week after the World Cup final, in the return fixture against Dumfries side Abbey Vale. Thistle had won 5-0 in the corresponding first friendly last season but didn’t have it all their own way this time.

Thistle now have 15 signed players in the squad for the forthcoming season and are holding trials with a view to adding to the squad before the start of the season.
