Thistle were comfortable winners in this West of Scotland Cup tie against an Ardeer side that in all honesty didn’t offer too much resistance. Goals for all the strikers and a promising debut from Matthew Clarke made this a good day’s work for the Jags.

Larkhall Thistle have put versatile midfielder JP Grant up for sale. The player, who can also play striker, was Thistle’s second top goal scorer last season with 20 goals and has been one of the most consistent performers for the club over the last few seasons.
Despite what was probably their worst performance of the season, the Jags managed to snatch a point from a game where they looked like getting nothing. Only the late introduction of Ryan Innes saved the day.
Thistle made the short trip down the M74 to play the wee Rangers and in a game of many chances, were the team who took theirs best on the day. A top performance by keeper Davie McEwan kept things blank at the other end.
