Today’s West of Scotland tie with Shotts Bon Accord has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. No date has yet been set aside for the rescheduled game.

Next week Thistle are away to Maryhill in the league, kick-off 1:30

Larkhall Thistle v Bellshill 14th December 2013

Thistle were once again without several key players, this week’s new casualties were keeper Davie McEwan who hurt himself at work and Mark Canning who was sick as they took on league leaders Bellshill in atrocious conditions. The wind and rain made it impossible to play any real football and in the end the visitors coped better with the circumstances.

Dean Richardson

Former Larkhall Thistle left back “Deano” has been involved in an accident, he was hit by a taxi whilst crossing the road. Dean has a double fracture of his forehead, a dislocated eye socket and a fractured jaw.

Everybody associated with Larkhall Thistle would like to wish Dean a speedy recovery and hope he gets back playing again soon.

Sad news, Brian Jack’s dad passed away last Thursday at the age of 52. Just to say that Brian and his family are in the thoughts of everyone at Larkhall Thistle at this sad time.

Thistle came from two goals down to turn this fixture around and come away from Possil with a hard-fought win. Spaniard David Agulera Garcia made his full debut and showed why he is highly regarded at the club.
