Former Larkhall Thistle player Brian Eadie was seriously injured in a game last night between his present team Rutherglen Glencairn and Beith. The game had to be abandoned to allow treatment for Brian.
Everybody at Larkhall Thistle would like to wish Brian a full and speedy recovery.
Thistle’s Denny hoodoo continued as they once again drew a blank and lost ground to the leading pack in the First Division. They can take some heart from a good performance though in a game they never looked like losing.
Thistle held out gamely for a first goalless draw in three and a half years but in the end the result didn’t really suit either team’s promotion ambitions.
Thistle came from behind twice today and the game was eventually decided on two fantasic strikes – one producing one of the goals of the season and the other bringing out the save of the season.
