Thistle got back into pre-season action less than a week after the World Cup final, in the return fixture against Dumfries side Abbey Vale. Thistle had won 5-0 in the corresponding first friendly last season but didn’t have it all their own way this time.

friendly v petershill next monday
We have arranged a friendly match against Petershill for next Monday, 15th October. The game is away at their new all-weather stadium, kick-off time to be arranged. This will be a good chance to give some of the fringe players a run out and possibly give new signing Brian Jack some game time.
