Welcome to the club lads.
The squad page has been updated with the players signed for the new season. The club is pleased to report that the vast majority of players who had a great finish to last season have signed up again for season 2016 – 2017.
The funeral of former Thistle defender Willie Holland will be held at the Cooperative funeral parlour at 10am and then onto Larkhall Cemetery for the committal.
It is with deep sadness that the club have to announce the passing of Willie Holland.
Another local lad who played with the Jags, Willie was a tough-tackling full back and played at Gasworks Park with some fine players such as Alex Love, Andy Lawless, Davie Kirkland and Billy Thomas.
Our sincere condolences from everyone at Larkhall Thistle are extended to the Holland family at this sad time. At this point funeral details are not to hand but we will put details on the website when information becomes available.
Rest in peace Willie.
On a very sad note the club have great regret in announcing the passing of Charlie Brown who played for the Jags and went upstairs with Clyde.
Charlie lived all his days in Larkhall and our heartfelt condolences are sent from the club to his wife Nan and family at this sad time
At last a home game, only Thistle’s third home game since the beginning of November 2015.
Special guests today are Jimmy MacAnenay and Mick Lyons, who were part of one one of the Jags most entertaining team which included three junior internationalists, Jimmy and four players who went on to have a successful careers in senior football.
Latest details of the Thistle squad for the forthcoming season are now on the squad page:

Larkhall Thistle would like to thank Lee Moss, who has been released by the club, for all his efforts. Lee has been a great servant over the last few years, standing in for Davie McEwan and turning up each week to provide cover despite the fact that the big man was one of the best goalkeepers in the juniors and never letting the club down on the occasions that he was called into action. We wish him all the best for the future.
