After 48 years I’ve got photo of 68 team here in my bar in south Africa happy now
Great to hear Jimmy, if you’re ever back home Chris will sell you a season ticket ☺
Hi Jimmy memories indeed who will ever that cup run in 1968 we had little money but a great bunch of players and team spirit how many Scotland caps did you get . Davie McGavigin the keeper that year now stays in Law and comes to most games along with THISTLE legend Martin Mulhearn. Am I correct in that Andy Campbell also was capped that year.
Can still remember those games as if it was yesterday.
The 1968 team was the best
The goalie Davie McGavin is my dad
Your not wrong there Julie was talking to your mum and dad at game today

Hi Sam not a bad team Thistle had then the keeper Tommy O’Shea was steady, Alex McLachlan the right back was from Ferniegair he coached at the club after he finished playing John Cameron was an accomplished centre half and big Billy Watt at left half was shall we say the ultimate ball winner . Incidentally the left winger Bobby Jones also went to Berwick Rangers. Brilliant information many thanks.
Fantastic stuff Sam thanks a lot for that
