Thistle received a bye in the 1st round, which despite only having 31 ties produced some outstanding ones such as Lesmahagow v Irvine Meadow, Wishaw v Cumnock and St. Rochs v Kilwinning Rangers.

Scottish Cup 1st Round Draw
Thistle have been drawn at home to Haddington Athletic in the first round of the Scottish Cup. Haddington play in the East Premier League, the division below the Superleague and are currently sitting sixth after five games. It will be a stiff test for the Jags as the two teams look fairly evenly matched on paper.
As commented by regular poster Exiled, Thistle lost 3-1 there in the Scottish Cup in 1970 when they had a very good team and a massive support, the round after beating Preston Athletic (now a Senior team) 4-0 at Prestonpans.
The tie takes place on Saturday 26th September at Gasworks Park.

Thistle produced a performance of grit and determination to emerge from this Scottish Cup tie with a win against the odds. The Jags had been 100/30 outsiders in the per-match betting but were the equal of their higher league opponents in every department.

Tomorrow’s Scottish Cup tie in Aberdeen against Banks o’ Dee is definitely on. The weather in Aberdeen is milder than the Central belt and they play on an artificial pitch so the game goes ahead.
Kick off is 1:45 and a reminder that the bus leaves at 7:30am.

Thistle travel to Aberdeen to play Banks o’ Dee in the Scottish Cup on Saturday 23rd November and there are still 9 seats available on the bus. The cost is £15 and the details are as follows:
Bus leaves Thistle club house at 7:30am, stopping at Luncarty FC at 9:00am for an hour for breakfast.
Bus leaves Aberdeen at 5:30pm
Note kick off for this game is 1:45 and not 2:30 as previously stated.
